Occurs around the south of New Zealand, 600 to over 1,000 m; available all year round (Ref. 9258). This is the second most abundant oreo dory in New Zealand (Ref. 9258). First record in the Chathams Island (Ref. 45493). Also Ref. 5194, 9072.
